Certified Reach Truck Training

Operating a reach truck is strictly regulated under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994. Employers are legally required to ensure all operators are properly trained; failure to comply can lead to heavy penalties or even imprisonment for company directors.

Our reach truck training program is designed to build competency and safety awareness, addressing the fact that 90% of accidents are caused by unsafe acts.

Certified Reach Truck Driver

This means the individual has completed a safe handling forklift training program and certified as a forklift driver. This certification indicates that the person has been trained in the safe and proper operation of forklift.

A certified forklift driver in Malaysia cannot drive a forklift on public roads. Certified Forklift Driver is meant to be operated only within designated industrial or warehouse areas. To legally drive a forklift on public roads, one would need a Class “F” or “H” tractor license, which covers the operation of tractors and forklifts on roads.

The certification is usually valid for a certain period (often two ~ 3 years), after which the operator needs to undergo refresher training.

Licensed Reach Truck Driver

In Malaysia, there isn’t a specific “forklift driver’s license” like there is for cars. Instead, forklift operators typically hold a Class “F” or “H” license, which is actually a type of tractor license. To obtain this license, one must pass a test that includes both theoretical and practical components.

In summary, a certified forklift driver has completed specific training and received a certificate, while a licensed forklift driver holds a Class “F” or “H” tractor license.
